What the hell?!?!?
I received my second insult from China within 6 months time by way of fortune cookie.
Today's read, "You only value what you cannot possess."
Meaning I'm shallow and materialistic? I think not. This coming from a country that discourages giving birth to girls.
I instantly threw it out, hoping it makes it's way overseas into some chinese landfill.
A few months ago I got one that simply said, "Be a winner!"
First off, I was slightly upset that it just assumed I was a loser. Or that it hadn't crossed my mind to succeed at something.
I brushed it off, and figured it was a fluke. I thought for sure that the phrase was alluding to the 6 'random' lottery-style numbers printed on the back. So, I decided to take the paper's advice and play those lotto numbers in an attempt to in fact, be a winner.
China now owes me $1.00USD, and two apologies.
